100 × 150 cm – acrylic on canvas – original artwork
Skydiving captures the feeling of diving into a wide summer sky – like gliding or floating above a landscape that is perceived only as an abstract structure. The multi-layered blue tones read like overlapping layers of air and clouds, crossed by fine, warm traces of light. The result is an image of freedom, openness and that particular lightness you feel when, for a moment, you let go of everything heavy.
Technical description:
The painting is built up from many superimposed layers of squeegee work, where vertical and horizontal movements condense into a lively yet clearly guided grid. Broad pulls alternate with narrower, window-like segments, creating the impression of looking through layers of air, altitude and distance. Seen up close, fine relief structures appear, with overlays of transparent and opaque passages and small inclusions that make the movement of the tool visible.
The canvas is stretched on a solid 35 mm gallery stretcher; the edges are fully painted. This gives Skydiving the presence of an independent object in the room rather than just a flat image on the wall.
Colour psychology & spatial impact:
Skydiving is driven by a nuanced spectrum of blues: light sky blue, cool cobalt blue, deeper ultramarine and night-blue tones, as well as softly fading, almost cloud-like transitions. Milky white brightening acts like opening fields of light, while slightly violet-blue shadows add volume and depth.
Fine accents of gold, ochre and yellow-green run through the composition as slim vertical lines of light. They recall fleeting reflections of sunlight on water or cloud surfaces and add a warm, elegant radiance to the cool blue field without disturbing its clarity. Individual darker traces of anthracite and graphite ground the work and create calm counterpoints.
In an interior, Skydiving generates a clear, airy atmosphere: it cools the mind, opens the view and conveys courage and inner spaciousness – like the moment in a glide when you fully surrender to the space around you and to your own movement.
Suggested placement:
Skydiving is particularly well suited to representative business environments such as entrance and reception areas, conference and meeting rooms, creative studios, consulting spaces or modern lounges and waiting zones. In these settings, the painting acts as a visual anchor for clarity, foresight and future-oriented thinking.
In private interiors, it comes into its own in generous living and dining areas, open hallways, galleries or home offices where calm, lightness and inspiration are desired. The vertical format and upward movements help to stretch walls and visually structure the space.
Top-sealed with Swiss museum-quality varnish — hand-sprayed in two layers.
Price structure and collector value:
With its 100 × 150 cm format, Skydiving belongs to the most collected sizes within contemporary abstract painting: large enough to clearly define a room, yet flexible enough to work in both business and private spaces. The multi-layered blue dramaturgy combined with subtle gold and light accents gives the piece strong recognition value and a clear, professional presence – ideal for discerning collectors as well as companies that wish to make a deliberate, modern statement.
The room visualizations shown are for inspiration purposes only. The original artwork may differ in format, proportions, colour rendering and signature; the product photos and details in the artwork description above are decisive.
