100 × 100 cm – Acrylic on canvas – Original artwork

This painting is a homage to one of the most elegant animals in the world: the peacock. Like an unfolded tail, deep greens, turquoise, gold, rose, pink and violet tones spread across the canvas. The eye moves from one detail to the next – from fine cell structures to softly flowing bands of colour, from glowing gold veins to cool, deep green-blue passages. Nothing feels random, nothing loud – The Peacock radiates a calm, dignified presence that becomes immediately tangible in the room.

Technical description:
The Peacock is a technically exceptional pouring piece in a 100 × 100 cm format – a size in which pure hand-poured works of this quality are rarely seen. The painting was not created on a rotating table or with a motor, but poured, tilted and built up entirely by hand in several precisely coordinated pouring phases.

First, deeper greens and turquoise tones were laid in as a base layer. On top, carefully controlled mixtures of rose, pink, violet and gold were poured. Different viscosities, precisely chosen pouring points and finely judged tilting of the canvas ensured that organic, stable cell structures formed without breaking apart; that gold and colour lines run through the image like veins of light; and that no muddy zones appear, but clear yet softly blended transitions emerge.

At this scale, the real challenge is balancing gravity and composition: The centre reads as a calm core, while towards the edges a fine fan of movements and overlays opens up – reminiscent of a peacock’s tail. Its sense of depth does not rely on resin but arises purely from layering, colour choice and the final professional varnish. Under raking light, The Peacock reveals a closed, high-end museum surface with clear, refined gloss and a visible but controlled pouring rhythm – a technical stand-out piece and a key work within the artist’s collection.

The canvas is stretched on a sturdy 35 mm deep stretcher frame. The edges are treated as their own picture zone and chromatically integrated into the front, so the work appears as a sculptural object from every angle rather than just a flat wall piece.

Sealed with Swiss high-quality museum-grade varnish — hand-sprayed in two coats.

Colour psychology & spatial impact:
The colour palette combines nature, luxury and inwardness: deep greens and turquoise tones stand for regeneration, calm and a strong connection to nature. Gold accents add subtle touches of luxury without turning the work into mere “effect art”. Rose, pink and violet nuances introduce sensitivity, intuition and an almost mystical sense of depth.
Historically, peacocks in palace gardens, estates and manor parks served as living or sculptural symbols of royal splendour, dignity and refined taste. This resonance is present in the artwork – The Peacock brings a hint of private palace garden atmosphere into contemporary living and business environments.

In a room, The Peacock behaves like a vibrant yet cultivated field of colour: in daylight, the many micro-details and cells come forward; in the evening, under softer light, the painting shifts into a calm, almost meditative presence. It is not a piece you simply glance at once – it is a work that invites repeated viewing and continuous discovery, in the best sense of a collector’s artwork.
